Standing over seven feet tall, this impressive French oak armoire showcases the enduring craftsmanship of late eighteenth- to early nineteenth-century provincial furniture. Handcrafted from solid oak using traditional dowel joinery, it blends elegant Louis XV-inspired detailing with the strength and simplicity of everyday French country design.

Whether used as a bedroom wardrobe, linen press, pantry cabinet, or statement storage piece, its generous proportions and timeless design bring warmth and architectural character to both traditional and contemporary interiors.

As with all antique furniture, this piece displays the honest wear of more than two centuries of use, including minor surface scratches, variations in color, and age-related imperfections that contribute to its authenticity and character.

The original wide-plank oak back remains intact and reflects traditional French cabinetmaking methods. As is typical of handcrafted solid wood furniture dating from the late eighteenth to early nineteenth century, the backboards have naturally contracted over time, resulting in visible gaps between the planks. This age-related wood movement is expected in furniture of this period and does not affect the cabinet's structural integrity or everyday functionality.

DIMENSIONS: 86" x 60" x 21.5"
